Natural History

Understanding the natural history of Bluebell Wood has played a very important part in the management of the woodland as a whole. It is the view of Wesnet Services Ltd that woodland can be both managed for commercial and conservation purposes.

To do this it is important to understand how woodland or any other site has formed and how the flora and fauna within the site have adapted to their own niche within the ecosystem (habitat). The links to the left show the different ecological factors that have affected the management of the woodland. The other factor that has had an effect when writing the management plan is the History and archaeology of the woodland.

You will also notice a button marked Fungi this is a new feature which we hope will show various fungi that have been seen in the woods over the years.
